ESTP Publication Award 2013

The ESTP presents its publication award 2013 and USD 1000* prize to

Dr. Siegrid Damsch

Dr. Damsch is awarded for her publications entitled "Gavage-related reflux in rats: identification, pathogenesis, and toxicological implications." (1) and "Unexpected nasal changes in rats related to reflux after gavage dosing" (2).

In her work Dr. Damsch describes an important and possibly often overlooked phenomenon in toxicological studies. The finding is extensively reviewed and the hallmarks of this finding are precisely described and differential diagnoses discussed.

These publications should prove very helpful for everyday diagnostic work concerning respiratory findings in gavage studies.
