| Joint Speciality Symposium on Renal Toxicology and Toxicologic Pathology |
This first Joint Speciality Symposium on Renal Toxicology and Toxicologic Pathology was aiming to integrate the input of both scientific fields in the discovery and risk assessment of adverse effects of drugs and chemicals on the kidneys. It took place from September 27 to October 1, 2004 at Lindau/Bodensee, Germany. The congress offered the special opportunity to meet experts in these fields from both sides of the Atlantic. This first joint symposium of the SOT and ESTP gave the opportunity to further enhance the scientific communication and the mutual understanding between toxicologists and toxicologic pathologists.
The first two days of this one-week symposium were focusing mainly on toxicology, while Thursday and Friday concentrated on toxicologic pathology. Wednesday was dedicated mainly to the interaction between toxicology and toxicologic pathology.
The congress organization team would like to thank all sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and participants for their valuable contributions.
